Pet Care in Our Home " Home Boarding " Overnight boarders at our acreage in Borden: Dogs We ask that you provide your pets own food, food dish, flat collar or harness, any medication and treats your dogs specifically enjoys. We will gladly cater for raw diet followers. It's a good idea to pack your dog a blanket or cushion that they use at home, but nothing too special as it may get chewed or become dirty !! Dogs are exercised in one of the 4 HUGE fenced areas & have plenty of smells, sights, sounds & gopher holes to investigate. In summer there are paddling pools, toys, shaded treed areas, and two decks so your dog can play & have fun then rest to their hearts content! Not every dog is dog friendly, thats ok, they can still come here ! They get lots of play time too, just on their own or with us playing frisbee, ball etc. We have smaller runs for smaller dogs which are enclosed for their safety and your peace of mind. In winter we carve out trails for the dogs to investigate and encourage them to play ball, dig in the snow, prune the trees for us (!) but they are also free to hang out inside if they don't like the cold ! Your pet will be interviewed before being accepted as aggression towards people is not tolerated. We do accept intact males, they are kept separate during playtime from our other guests. No females in heat please. Pets & Pet Parents are welcome to come have a look around before making a booking ( by appointment only) We also encourage trial overnight or weekend stays here in preparation for longer stays - useful for dogs not used to being away from home. During your dogs stay they will be crate trained and as required: bathed, nails clipped, ears cleaned. Basic meds administered ( no needles ) We offer a limited pick up/drop service for your pet from Saskatoon. Reactive dogs are welcome to stay - we have one of our own :-) Cats A cat who is very social or needy for attention will appreciate a stay here. All cats staying here stay indoors in their own bedroom - we have two approx 12x10 kitty rooms and so only take two bookings at any time. The rooms are plenty big enough for multiple cats. We offer access to the outside cat area which is completed enclosed with roof. We do not accept intact cats and your cats will not mix with other cats. Other Critters Please ask if you have a rabbit, birds, a ferret, hamster etc. We can usually help out ! We can visits dogs also, but only between day time hours. Services provided for your pet Cat Litter scooped / cage cleaned / dog let out etc feeding & water top - up accident cleaning - up (pets should be house trained ) play time, basic medication administered loving & cuddles & grooming & for your home plant watering, mail brought in, lights on / off. We instead will invite your dog to stay with us ! |
