1        Why Should I have my yard cleared of Pet Waste?
Dog Poop can actually be harmful to us. It can harbor parasites and diseases, and bacteria such as E Coli, Giardia & Salmonella.
See this
report for further information. As it is protein based it does not break down as a "fertilizer" for lawn. According to Saskatoon City Bylaw 7860 "an
owner or occupant of private property must not allow animal feces to accumulate on the property so as to create a health hazard" These offences can cause
you to be fined if caught or reported. It isn't too nice for your Dog to have a dirty yard area & if he is a house dog he will no doubt be transferring bacteria into
the home on his paws - not a nice thought. Also..have you noticed how many bugs & annoying insects are attracted to poop ? Simply having us come by
once a week will stop them swarming around your home so much.

2        What happens if i just want a Spring Clean Up?
If you are just thinking of having a Spring Clean Up, typically this is what happens. We come to your property & give you a written quote on how much it will
cost to clear your yard. This quote is then valid for 7 days. At any point during those 7 days you can call us to come & do the work for the amount we quoted.
We DO NOT charge hourly rates as so many factors can affect how fast we clear you yard, such as the weather for instance.
We need to be paid for Spring Clean Ups before we carry out the work. You may pay cash or cheque on or before the day of service.

3        Do I have to be in when you come to clean up?
You do not need to be home when we visit for the Regular Service, but ideally we like to come & meet you & your pets. Especially if your pets are likely to be
in the yard while we Scoop their Poop!. Sometimes dogs get territorial and it is possible they might not let us into your yard when you are not there. Our first
visit can test these things out. If you have any suspicion that your dog may not like our company it is a good idea that you can be there on the first visit.
During Spring Clean Ups you need to pay us on or before the day of service. Once you have paid us, you do not have to stick around while we Blitz your yard.
It is also wise not to have your dog in the yard for Spring Clean Ups as they often get in the way, sorry doggies!!

4        How do you get into my yard to carry out your work?
We are not allowed by law to climb over fences or gates to gain entry to your yard. There are several ways to let us into your property. You can leave your
gate unlocked, you can provide us with a key to your lock, we can provide you with a combination lock. We can always think of something to suit you, don't
worry ! Please make sure that your dog is happy to let us into the yard ( if he is an outside dog ).

5        What happens if you can not get into my yard by the agreed means?
We will call you & let you know. If we can not contact you via the phone we will leave a card asking you to contact us when convenient. Possible reasons for
not being able to gain entry are: territorial dogs, locked gates, Poop Scooper Person too small to reach latch - we are not 6ft giants unfortunately :)

6        What if i forget it is your visit day?
If you happen to get to work ( for example) & suddenly remember that you have forgotten to leave the gate unlocked, then call us straight away. You will not
be charged. We will then arrange to come back at a more suitable time.

7        Can my dog be in the yard when you come?
Most of the time dogs do not mind us working around them. We have plenty of healthy treats to keep them happy and are more than happy to throw a ball or
two to keep them occupied! You are the best judge of your dog & probably know if they display territorial behaviour. If you know your dog is territorial, then we
do ask that you keep them in on your service day.

8        What if my Dog lives in my yard, I can't leave him alone in the house all day !?
We can always come to some sort of arrangement for weekly clients..one that works for your dog & for yourself. For example, we can bring a flexi lead to
secure him in one area while we work or for small dogs we can bring an EX-pen. During busy periods we work weekends too so if you are home perhaps
you can occupy your dog during the clean up? For spring clean ups we strongly recommend you keep the dog in so that we may complete the job to the
best of our ability.

9        What if I need to change my scheduled day for The Poop Guys?
As long as you call us before we turn up at your property, that is fine. If you would like to change it permanently then you can have any free time slots we
have available. If we need to change your day then we will contact you via email or phone.

10        I am interested in your Dog Walking service tell me more?
We offer a dog walking service for those owners who are too busy or unable to walk their pets ( cats ( oh yes !) & dogs ). We require that your pet is licensed
but we can provide a leash, gentle leaders ( halti's ) pinch collars, and harness's if needed. Please check out our dog walking pages
HERE for more info!
Licencing costs either $15 or $30 & we can do this for you too, just ask !

11        How do I cancel or suspend my service?
If you chose to terminate or suspend Poop Scoping, all we request is 24hrs notice either by email or by phone and that your bill is settled. There are no
contracts between us. If you choose to suspend your Pet Waste collection service for a period of more than two weeks or over winter then we
may have to
charge your next Poop Scoop Day at Spring Clean Up rates.  Dog Walks & Pet Sits can be cancelled up to the time we would usually visit.

12        Do you work Weekends & Holidays?
Yes ! We work all year round, & every holiday except Christmas Day when there will be no Poop Scooping or Dog Walks ( we will be too full of turkey LOL )
Pet sits are the exception, no one should be alone over Christmas after all !! We accept home boarding over the holiday periods too, although these book
up extremely fast and we usually only have one household's pets staying at any one time ( unless owners consent to their dog staying with other dogs ) If
you wish to cancel your service in advance because of holidays then that is fine & you will of course not be charged for those days.

13        What are your hours of business?
Poop Scooping  -  Any time between 830am - 430pm specific times are not available for booking, only specific days.
Dog Walks          -  Summer Hours 8 am to approx 4 pm, Mon - Fri. Sept - May approx 10am - 4pm. Walks must start & end during daylight hours.
Pet Sits                -  We usually visit from 830 am until 8pm Mon - Sun. Times are subject to variation during busy periods.
Home Boarding - Customer Pick Up & Drop Off between 9am & 10pm. Phone to arrange. We also pick up & drop off  for you at no extra cost.

14        What happens to the Poop Scoop service during winter?
Dogs still have to "go" even when its 20 below, so there is still Poop to Scoop whatever the weather. The only weather that really makes our work difficult is
newly fallen snow, because it makes finding the poop harder. If it has snowed significantly on or the day before your due pick up day, then the decision to
halt Scooping for that day
may be made. You will not be charged for that day, we will just credit you an extra pick up.

15        What about dog Walking & other services....?
No weather restricts our Kitty Litter, Pet Siting, or Dog Walking service & we can still take your dog to the groomers with no problems what so ever. If your pet
wears cold weather boots / coat etc then these need to be available on walk day & it's a good idea to keep his towel near the front door to get the snow or
rain off him as we come back in.  Other than that, it's business as usual. Only Extreme weather will stop us coming out such as the blizzard of 07.

16        How Do I Book The Poop Guys?
You can complete an online form & we will contact you when we receive it. You can also call us on (306) 227 0711 (cell). Don't worry if it's last minute, we
will always endeavour to make time for you same-day or next day where at all possible. You can find it and all our contact details by clicking
 HERE !!

17        How do I pay for your service?
We can accept cash and personal cheques made payable to "The Poop Guys". You can also pay with visa online Via Paypal, although this
incurs a small charge. Out of Province customers purchasing online must wait for payment to clear before work is commenced.
18        How am I billed?
Poop Scooping -  billed in advance, for regular customers. You may pay per week, per two weeks or per month. If you use the Spring Clean Up service, we
always ask for payment on the day of Clean Up. We know that the vast majority of customers are completely trustworthy, and could be billed to pay later,
however the few that decide not to pay spoil it for the rest.....SORRY GUYS !!
Dog Walking - also billed in advance. You may pay per walk, per week, or per month. Post dated cheques accepted.
Pet Sits - For any "sit" less than one week . 100% in advance. For "sits" more than 7 days, a 50% deposit & the balance on you return is accepted.

19        What if I am not satisfied with your work?
Then we will work with you to fix the problem of course, as we guarantee 100% satisfaction. Check out our feedback for customer comments !

20        How does the Home Boarding work ?
We interview prospective cats  / dogs before taking them into our home. Once here your pets live with us, as our pets! We keep cats separate from the dogs
of course, and they have their own litter box, cat tree, windows to look out on the world & of course lots of daily human contact ! During Summer & warm
winter days they also have access to our fully enclosed outside cat enclosure which is newly completed this year (2007)
Dogs get regular exercise in the fenced in exercise area, games, toys, bones provided ! Two meals a day ( please provide your own food if your dog is on a
special diet ) And they have plenty of different places to rest, we have Doggie cushions, open crates, the sofa ( very popular!) and rugs as every dog likes
something different. Our own pets are all up to date on shots & neutered. For your own pets safety we ask that you consider the rabies vaccination & a flea /
tick prevention program - if your pet contracts an illness preventable by vaccination while in our care we unfortunately will not be held responsible. ( We have
collars available which work very well but it is best you start prevention program a week before your pets visit to be sure.) We are insured but always
recommend you have your own pet insurance.

21        How do you manage to provide all these services ?
With careful time management & experience ! The Poop Guys is owned & operated by Rebecca who does all the services, Colin also helps out, particularly
at busy times when he has been known to get out his poop scooping tools or stay home & look after home boarders.  We often get asked how can my dog
get regular attention as your home boarder if you are out at work in the city ? The answer is that although we are in the city 5 days a week,  we are only
actually only "out" for about 3-4 hours most days and 4 - 5 hours a day on busy days, perhaps 2 days a week. Pet staying here as boarders are treated as
our own & those staying in their own home are subject to at least the minimum standards set out by the All Canadian Pet Services Network.
